Seniors

Make the rest of their years

the best of their years.

Senior dogs often struggle to find forever homes but are loving, loyal, and frequently calm companions.

Meet our seniors and learn how you can change their life!

Meet Poncho!

Poncho is about 11 years old and weighs about 55 lbs. He is very short and stalky.

Pancho would love a quiet household where he can relax in the sunshine or on a comfy bed. He would love a home with no kids and no other dogs.

Poncho does need to be the only pet in the home, but is very non-reactive with dogs on walks and close by. He just doesn’t want to interact and rough house.

Pancho deserves someone who will make the rest of his life the very best of his life.

Meet Penelope!

This pretty girl joined us from Southern California, where she found herself in a hoarding case with 76 other pups. She is about 8 years old and weighs approximately 70 lbs.

Penelope is a graduate of the Prison Training Program and is a speedy learner. Penelope is nonreactive on a leash and loves her long walks or hikes. She is muzzle trained but has not required her muzzle on the Pittie Pack Hikes.

She is a very mellow pup in the home and would do well with a medium-energy household. Penelope is crate, potty, and figure 8 leash-trained. She knows all her basic commands and is a pretty quiet girl.

Meet Dirk!

Dirk joined the pack from our sister rescue, Dallas Pets Alive. Mr. Dirk was terrified in the overcrowded shelter down there and, when first placed into play groups, would hide in the corner, trying not to be noticed.

Once Dirk was placed into a foster home, he blossomed. He can be shy in new situations, but once he warms up, he is the sweetest boy with the best personality! He does well with other pups with a proper introduction. Dirk would do best in an active home that could continue to work with him on his confidence.

Meet King Louie!

This amazing boy joined us in the PNW from New York where he found himself at a very crowded shelter. King Louie is about 12 years old and weighs about 95 lbs.

King Louie lost the only home he had ever known when his owners were unfortunately found in a domestic violence situation. After the split, his sole owner found herself homeless and could no longer care for King. He is such a sweet guy who deserves to live in peace for the rest of his life.

King appears to be deaf and does have skin allergies, which he currently takes medication for and specialty food that keeps everything under control. King previously lived with a young child and appears to be non-reactive to most pups.

King is potty trained and knows all his basic commands. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Meet G5!

This amazing boy joined us in the PNW from New York where he found himself at a very crowded shelter. G5 is about 9 years old and weighs about 60 lbs.

G5 originally came into the shelter as a stray in 2017 and was reclaimed by his owner. In 2020, he was found in an abandoned house, in a wire crate with no food or water.

G5 needs slow introductions, but wants he warms up to someone, he will be their best friend for life. He has done well in playgroups with females his size, or bigger.

Crate trained, passionate about his toy pineapple, and loves his savory snacks. Would love a calm household where he can lounge on a cozy bed and relax in the sunshine outside.
